The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus will present George Frideric Handel’s oratorio “Messiah” by Candlelight at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Under the direction of Philharmonic Music Director Alfred Savia, the baroque-size orchestra drawn from the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra will join forces with voices from the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus to present this 18th century masterpiece in its traditional setting. The sanctuary will be bathed in candlelight as concertgoers experience the warmth and power of the “Messiah”. Highlights will include “For Unto Us a Child Is Born”, “Every Valley Shall be Exalted”, and the famous “Hallelujah Chorus”. Following the concert, the entire audience is invited to a free dessert reception upstairs in Craig Hall.

Tickets purchased online may be picked up at the concert on Friday night between 6 – 7 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church at 216 SE 3rd St, Evansville, IN 47713. If you would like to pick up your tickets early, you may pick them up at our administrative offices from 10 AM – 4:30PM on Thursday, 12/6 or from 10AM – 4PM on Friday 12/7. Our administrative offices are located in the Walker Building at 401 SE 6th St, Suite 105, Evansville, IN 47713.

Jasper, Indiana is on Eastern Standard Time. Under the direction of Philharmonic Music Director Alfred Savia, the baroque-size orchestra drawn from the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra will join forces with voices from the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus to present this 18th century masterpiece.

Concertgoers will experience the warmth and power of the “Messiah”. Highlights will include “For Unto Us a Child Is Born”, “Every Valley Shall be Exalted”, and the famous “Hallelujah Chorus”.

Tickets purchased online after Friday, December 7th at noon, may be picked up at the concert on Saturday night beginning at 6 p.m. EST at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1029 Kundeck Street, Jasper, Indiana 47546.
