The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra's annual holiday concert, Peppermint Pops, is Live Stream ONLY with the Saturday, December 5th performance at 7:30 PM!
Due to COVID restrictions and mandates from the City of Evansville and the State of Indiana, the Peppermint Pops concert at the Victory Theatre will not be in person this year. Instead of cancelling this most attended annual performance, we will be socially distant with our holiday cheer to the community.
The EPO and Maestro Kalia present a one-hour “Re-imagined” Peppermint Pops with a “A Tri-State Christmas” program, featuring local collaborations with musicians in the Tri-State, the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus and the Evansville Children’s Choir.
Holiday musical selections include, Alleluia Venite Gaudete and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year performed by a brass quintet, Bob James & Kenny Loggins’ Celebrate Me Home with local jazz musicians, and What Child is This as an oboe solo. The chorus performs O Magnum Mysterium and Cool Yule with the children’s choir joining them for O Holy Night. Handel & Quincy Jones’ Hallelujah! from Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration concludes the concert featuring local musicians and soloists.
Pre-paid ticket holders will automatically receive the Live Stream link. All other patrons can purchase a $15 Live Stream ticket for the December 5th performance at 7:30 PM, beginning Monday, November 30 at 10 AM online at the EPO website: evansvillphilharmonic.org or by calling the EPO ticket office.
